That of which we cannot speak, we must pass over in silence

Ludwig Wittgenstein
That of which we cannot speak, we must pass over...

About This Quote

Not all things that are important or that matter to us, will be said out loud. We may not want to talk about them. We may not want to bring them up in conversation. And we may not want to let the people around us know that they are important to us.

But these things still matter. They still matter a great deal. When we feel the need to hide something from others, we become silent.

When we feel the need to ignore something or something about another person, we become silent.
